FROM BENNETON:
It’s My Time is now eternal. It was so nice meeting 65,697 new friends, that we’ve decided to make It’s My Time timeless. Permanent. It was more than nice meeting you, really, it was totally inspiring. So this is just the beginning.
We want you to know that from now on, we’re going to be thinking global and acting local.
We’ve changed the IMT website so you can see people country by country.
We’re going to have local casting events leading to more global campaigns.
It’s not too late to get involved. Yes, we discovered 20 great models for our next campaign, but we also discovered hundreds of talents-brilliant people we’d like to be involved with.
So the game is not over. If you want to stay part of it, stay tuned.
Let’s keep it going!
Viral Ad of the Day: For their latest stair-based “fun” viral (previously), VW installed a Fast Lane (i.e. a slide) next to the long staircase leading down to Berlin’s Alexanderplatz U-Bahn station. Copy: “Which way would you go?”

Heineken has begun an online campaign that allows you to ditch the green bottle and design your own, for a custom drinking experience. Where does this apply, I am thinking bachelor party… Get creative…
In any case, the site lets you choose a template, which you can adorn with your own image and message about… Kudos to my peeps at AKQA
VIA FASTCOMPANY
Heineken drinkers on the Emerald Isle have the chance to buy the most expensive bottles of Heineken ever produced—probably. For a thimbleful under $38 you get a six-pack of bottles that you can customize yourself. The digital marketing campaign is the brainchild of theAKQA agency, and it allows drinkers to add text and image of their own onto 42 different bottle designs.
The Web site allows you to print a message on the front, as well as adding a picture and/or a few lines about what a responsible drinker you are and that you are over 21, honest. Pay up, and in two weeks, your customized beer arrives on your doorstep. Clink!
Why it rocks? They got the interface right, a pleasure to use. They figured out ways to make money off additional features- you want to buy into. It is easy to share pics to social networking sites.
The professional photographer in me gives this puppy major props for making ugly camera pics look ” j’adorebucks”!

On Monday, Techi’s Tim Duffy (actually, Tim, can I call you Tim? I’ve never actually asked) predicted Twitter’s eventual downfall, igniting a firestorm of feedback both for and against the social networking darling. Now, upon reading Tim’s post, I threw my head back and laughed defiantly.
Prime example of having a direct conversation with audience: This is turning the norm by default, if a company doesn’t provide this forum… the audience will make it on their own!

18-year old Jaime Keiles from Pennsylvania isn’t really the girly magazine type of girl, but she’s been spending the last month of her high school career living “according to the gospel of Seventeen Magazine.” The result is a funny, witty observance of the discrepancy between what’s being marketed as teen culture and what actually is — at least in her life. For example:
…today I woke up in the morning and got dressed for school. I took fashion advice from the page of “French Nautical” looks, and hair advice from Elisabeth, 17, in Maine, who suggested I wear a high bun because it was, “quick yet elegant and perfect for my low maintenance beauty routine.” Then I went to school. Then I came home. Then I had 10 hours of time to fill between arriving at my house and writing this post.

Looks like people, brands, and celebrities aren’t the only Tweeters - animals are becoming some of the most popular voices on Twitter. I’m not only talking about the folks that have Twitter accounts for their pets (not that there’s anything wrong with that), but there are also devices now that attach to the animals and tweet FOR them - no human keyboarding necessary!
